Our Story - Jasnor

A proud Australian family-owned and operated business

If we rewind some 30 years, Jasnor began as a small importing business in the Thurlow family garage to an award-winning, and industry-leading, toy and gift supplier with the exclusive distribution (and in some cases manufacturing) rights to an enviable portfolio of licensed, bespoke, and custom brands.

The humble beginnings of our story first began in 1988 when Jasnor's founder Sherrie Thurlow, with her sons James and Richard at school, looked for a flexible business that offered good opportunities for growth and the chance to work with the product she admired. "I have always loved children's gifts that were not just a passing fad. My own children had received some wonderful gifts but the toys that lasted were the ones that really stood out. I also saw an opportunity to offer gifts targeted at men and women that had the same sense of longevity", Sherrie reflects.

By 1994, the business had grown to the point that Sherrie's husband Noel Thurlow, with a background in toys and gifts, joined the company. Fast forward to the present day, Jasnor is supported by a strong and invaluable team of professionals and Sherrie's sons, Jasnor's CEO James Thurlow, and Richard Thurlow carrying the business forward.

From classic toy properties including Paddington Bear and Beatrix Potter to highly collectible gift brands such as Disney Britto, we are committed to offering our customers endless gifting solutions, with unmatched access to a diverse range of quality gifts across multiple price points and occasions to surprise and delight all ages.

Fun fact: The name of our business, Jasnor stands for James, Sherrie, Noel and Richard.
